Day 1: Arrival in Cairo
Upon arrival at Cairo International Airport, you will be greeted by our Journey To Egypt representative who will assist with all formalities and transfer you to your hotel for an overnight stay.

Day 2: Pyramids, Sphinx, and Grand Museum Treasures

After breakfast, your exploration of Cairo begins with a visit to the iconic Giza Plateau, home to the Great Pyramid of Khufu, the pyramid of Khafre, and the smaller but impressive Pyramid of Menkaure. Standing before the Sphinx, you can marvel at its imposing presence and imagine the secrets it has witnessed for thousands of years.

Next, you will immerse yourself in the treasures of the Grand Egyptian Museum, a modern marvel of architecture and the largest archaeological museum in the world. Here, over 100,000 artifacts tell the story of Egypt across millennia, including the complete treasures of King Tutankhamun. In the afternoon, wander through Coptic Cairo and visit the Hanging Church, a striking basilica perched above the ancient Fortress of Babylon. Day 3: Fly to Luxor – Explore Luxor Highlights

Early in the morning, you take a short flight to Luxor, the gateway to Upper Egypt. Upon arrival, your guide and driver will escort you to the sprawling Karnak Temple Complex, known in ancient times as “The Most Sacred of Places.” Walking among towering columns in the Hypostyle Hall, you can almost hear the whispers of pharaohs who built and expanded this temple over more than two thousand years.

After a leisurely lunch, the adventure continues to the Valley of the Kings, where pharaohs were laid to rest in tombs carved deep into the cliffs. Here, richly decorated walls tell stories of life, death, and the journey into the afterlife. Next, you will visit the magnificent Temple of Queen Hatshepsut at El Deir El Bahary, rising from the desert in a series of elegant terraces, a tribute to Egypt’s only female pharaoh.

As the day winds down, you transfer to Esna to board your Dahabiya, your floating home for the next four nights. With dinner served on board, you begin your tranquil journey along the Nile River, enveloped in the serene beauty of Egypt’s timeless landscape.

Day 4: Cruise to Edfu –  Temple of Horus

Strolling through its grand halls and hieroglyph-covered walls, you feel the presence of history around every corner.

Afterward, enjoy a leisurely walk through the Edfu souk, where local artisans display colorful crafts and spices, offering a glimpse into daily life along the Nile. The day’s journey continues to the Speos of Hormoheb, an ancient rock-cut chapel. As night falls, the temple is illuminated, and you enjoy a unique dinner on-site, creating a magical and unforgettable atmosphere. Return to your Dahabiya for an overnight stay under the stars.

Day 5: Sailing the Nile to Kom Ombo

As your Dahabiya glides along the calm Nile River, you arrive at Kom Ombo, home to a rare dual temple complex dedicated to two gods. Day 6: Discover Aswan 

On your final full day aboard the Dahabiya, you explore the captivating city of Aswan. Begin with a visit to the Temple of Philae, dedicated to the goddess Isis and set gracefully on its own island. Afterward, stroll through the Aswan souk, where the charm of local markets comes alive with crafts, spices, and vibrant colors.

As evening approaches, a special farewell dinner awaits on board, accompanied by the melodic sounds of Oriental and Arabic music. The night is yours to savor, surrounded by the gentle glow of the Nile and the memories of your incredible journey.

Day 7: Departure – Farewell to Cairo, Luxor, and the Eternal Nile

All journeys must come to an end. After a final breakfast aboard your Dahabiya, you will be transferred to the Aswan airport for your return flight via Cairo, carrying with you memories of Cairo, Luxor, Aswan, and the majestic Nile.
