Day 01: Arrival in Cairo

Upon arrival at Cairo International Airport, you will be warmly welcomed by Journey to Egypt representative. He will assist you with arrival formalities and escort you in a private, air-conditioned vehicle to your hotel in Cairo.

Day 02: Pyramids of Giza – Memphis – Saqqara

After breakfast at your hotel, meet your private Egyptologist tour guide to begin a day filled with legendary wonders.

Start with the world-famous Pyramids of Giza — the Great Pyramid of Khufu, the Pyramid of Khafre, and the Pyramid of Menkaure. Standing for over 4,500 years, these monuments represent the pinnacle of ancient Egyptian engineering. Nearby, the majestic Great Sphinx, carved from a single block of limestone, stands guard over the plateau, embodying mystery and power.

After exploring Giza, enjoy lunch at a carefully selected local restaurant.

Continue to Saqqara, home to the remarkable Step Pyramid of King Djoser. Designed by the brilliant architect Imhotep, this pyramid marks a revolutionary moment in architectural history as the first large-scale stone structure ever built.

End the day in Memphis, the ancient capital of Egypt, where you will visit the open-air museum showcasing impressive statues, including the colossal monument of King Ramses II.

Return to your hotel in Cairo for overnight.

Day 03: Grand Egyptian Museum – Citadel – Khan El Khalili

After breakfast, your guide will accompany you on a day that perfectly blends ancient treasures with medieval and modern Cairo.

Begin at the spectacular Grand Egyptian Museum (GEM), located near the Giza Pyramids. This state-of-the-art museum is the largest archaeological museum in the world, housing over 100,000 artifacts spanning more than 5,000 years of history. Highlights include the complete treasures of King Tutankhamun, displayed together for the first time, colossal statues, immersive digital galleries, and breathtaking views of the pyramids.

Day 04: Alexandria City Tour

After breakfast, depart Cairo with your Egyptologist guide for a scenic drive to Alexandria, Egypt’s legendary Mediterranean city founded by Alexander the Great.

Begin your tour at the modern Bibliotheca Alexandrina, built near the site of the ancient Great Library of Alexandria, once the most important center of knowledge in the ancient world.

Enjoy lunch at a local restaurant.

Continue to the Roman Amphitheatre, one of the most significant Greco-Roman monuments in Egypt. Then visit Pompey’s Pillar, erected in 292 AD and standing as a powerful reminder of Roman influence in Alexandria.

End your visit with a stop at the impressive Citadel of Sultan Qaitbay (viewed from outside), a 15th-century fortress built on the site of the legendary Lighthouse of Alexandria, one of the Seven Wonders of the Ancient World.

Return to Cairo in the evening for overnight.
