Day 1: Arrival Cairo – Giza Pyramids and Grand Egyptian Museum

Welcome to Egypt! Upon your arrival at Cairo International Airport, our representative from Journey To Egypt will be waiting, holding a sign with your name, and will assist you through customs and formalities to ensure a smooth start to your adventure.

Your private Egyptologist guide will then escort you to the Giza Plateau, home to the Great Pyramids of Cheops, Chefren, and Mykerinus. Stand before the only surviving ancient wonder of the world, continue to the legendary Great Sphinx, and explore the mysterious Valley Temple, where pharaohs were prepared for eternity.

Next, visit the spectacular Grand Egyptian Museum, the world’s largest museum dedicated to a single civilization. Walk among colossal statues, royal treasures, and thousands of artifacts spanning 5,000 years of history. Marvel at the complete collection of King Tutankhamun, including his golden mask, jeweled coffins, ceremonial chariots, and personal treasures, all displayed together for the first time since their discovery.

Continue to Coptic Cairo to see the serene Hanging Church and the ancient Ben Ezra Synagogue, then wander the bustling streets of Islamic Cairo. Spend some time at Khan El Khalili, Cairo’s oldest bazaar, where spices, lanterns, jewelry, and traditional crafts bring the city’s rich history to life.

Finally, transfer to your hotel for check-in and overnight in Cairo.

Day 2: Luxor – The World’s Largest Open-Air Museum

After breakfast, transfer to Cairo airport for your flight to Luxor, where the spirit of ancient Egypt lingers in every temple and tomb.

Your Egyptologist guide will meet you upon arrival and begin your tour on Luxor’s west bank.

Explore the legendary necropolis of the pharaohs, where more than 60 royal tombs lie hidden within the Theban mountains. Step inside beautifully decorated burial chambers where vivid colors and sacred inscriptions still narrate the journey to the afterlife.
Your guide will provide detailed explanations before you enter, as guiding is not permitted inside the tombs.
Optional: Visit the tomb of King Tutankhamun (additional fee).

Rising in elegant terraces against towering cliffs, the Temple of Hatshepsut, the mortuary temple of Egypt’s greatest female pharaoh, is a masterpiece of ancient design and harmony. Learn about Hatshepsut’s remarkable reign and the symbolism woven into her temple’s architecture.

Pause for photos at the colossal twin statues of Amenhotep III, silent guardians of a long-lost mortuary temple. These statues have watched over Luxor for more than 3,400 years and remain one of the city’s most photographed landmarks.

Enjoy a delightful lunch on an island, reached by a short Nile boat ride, giving you a peaceful moment on the river that has given life to Egypt for millennia.

Cross to Luxor’s east bank to visit Karnak Temple, the largest religious structure ever built. Wander through the majestic Hypostyle Hall, marvel at ancient obelisks piercing the sky, and walk beside sacred lakes and ceremonial courts. Every wall and column here tells a story of power, devotion, and architectural genius.

After the tour, transfer to Luxor airport for your flight back to Cairo. Overnight in Cairo.
