Day 1: Arrive in Cairo
From the moment you arrive at Cairo International Airport, Egypt begins to reveal its charm. You will be welcomed by Journey To Egypt representative who will assist with all airport formalities and transfer you to your hotel. Take the rest of the day to settle in and let the excitement of the adventure ahead slowly unfold.

Day 02: Pyramids – Memphis & Sakkara

After breakfast at the hotel, meet your private Egyptologist guide and begin your first day of exploration at the legendary Giza Plateau, home to the Great Pyramids of Khufu, Khafre, and Menkaure. Stand face-to-face with the mighty Sphinx, keeper of secrets for more than 4,500 years.

Enjoy lunch at a local restaurant before continuing to Sakkara, where the Step Pyramid of King Djoser rises from the desert—the earliest large-scale stone structure in history, designed by the brilliant architect Imhotep.

Your final stop is Memphis, the first capital of ancient Egypt, home to an impressive open-air museum and the colossal statue of Ramses II.

Return to your Cairo hotel for overnight.

Day 03: Grand Egyptian Museum – Citadel & Khan El Khalili

After breakfast, your guide will take you on a captivating cultural journey. Begin at the spectacular Grand Egyptian Museum, the largest archaeological museum on Earth. Explore over 100,000 artifacts spanning 5,000 years, including the complete treasures of King Tutankhamun displayed together for the first time.

After lunch at a local restaurant, continue to the Citadel of Salah El-Din, the medieval fortress that served as Egypt’s seat of power for centuries.

End your day wandering through the vibrant alleyways of Khan El Khalili Bazaar, one of the oldest marketplaces in the Middle East.

Day 04: Flight to Luxor – Full Day West & East Bank of Luxor

After breakfast, check out and transfer to Cairo Airport for your flight to Luxor.

Upon arrival, begin exploring the West Bank of Luxor—ancient Thebes. Visit the Valley of the Kings, resting place of pharaohs and home to the world-renowned Tomb of King Tutankhamun.

Continue to the elegant Temple of Queen Hatshepsut, carved directly into the cliffs of Deir El Bahari, followed by a stop at the towering Colossi of Memnon.

Enjoy lunch at a local restaurant, then cross to the East Bank to visit the grand Karnak Temple Complex, dedicated to Amun Ra and representing over 2,000 years of construction.

End the day at Luxor Temple, beautifully illuminated at sunset, before checking in to your Luxor hotel.

Day 05: Day Tour to Dendera and Abydos Temples

After breakfast, your guide will accompany you to Abydos, home to the remarkable Temple of Seti I—famous for its exquisite reliefs and the Abydos King List, depicting Egypt’s ancient rulers. Explore the mysterious Osireion, believed to be associated with Osiris himself.

Continue to Dendera Temple, one of Egypt’s best-preserved temple complexes. Admire its recently restored ceiling adorned with dazzling colors, the famous Dendera Zodiac, the ceremonial crypts, the Birth House of Isis, and the impressive back-wall relief of Cleopatra VII with Caesarion.

After exploring at leisure, return to your Luxor hotel for overnight.

Day 06: Day Tour to Luxor West Bank II + Luxor Museum & Mummification Museum

Begin early with a visit to Medinet Habu, the magnificent mortuary temple of Ramses III, surrounded by imposing mud-brick walls and filled with vivid reliefs.

Continue to Deir El-Medina, the well-preserved village of the artisans who built the royal tombs, followed by a visit to the serene Valley of the Queens, burial place of royal wives, princes, and princesses.

Enjoy lunch at a local restaurant before your afternoon museum tour.

Visit the elegant Luxor Museum, home to masterpieces from the Theban temples and necropolis, and then the Mummification Museum, where you will learn about the highly skilled embalming techniques of ancient Egypt.

Day 07: Day Trip to Edfu and Kom Ombo

After breakfast and check-out, travel to Edfu Temple, dedicated to Horus and considered the best-preserved cult temple in Egypt.

Continue to Kom Ombo Temple, uniquely designed with two symmetrical halves dedicated to Sobek and Haroeris. Explore its chambers, ancient healing scenes, and the on-site Crocodile Museum.

Arrive in Aswan, enjoy lunch at a local restaurant, check into your hotel, and relax.

Day 08: Day Trip to Philae Temple, High Dam & Unfinished Obelisk

After breakfast, begin your day at the Aswan High Dam, a monumental engineering project supplying electricity and water to all of Egypt.

Continue to the Unfinished Obelisk, lying in the granite quarries where much of Egypt’s red granite was sourced.

Then, visit the enchanting Temple of Philae, rescued from rising Nile waters and dedicated to the goddess Isis. It is one of Egypt’s most beautiful and atmospheric temples.

Return to your hotel for overnight.

Day 09: Day Tour to Abu Simbel – Fly Back to Cairo

Collect your breakfast box and check out. Travel south by private vehicle to the astonishing Temples of Abu Simbel, carved into the mountainside by Ramses II. The Great Temple honors the sun god Ra-Horakhty, while the smaller temple celebrates Queen Nefertari.

After your visit, transfer to Aswan Airport for your flight back to Cairo. On arrival, meet our representative and transfer to your hotel for overnight.

Day 10: Alexandria City Tour

After breakfast, depart for the Mediterranean jewel of Alexandria. Begin at the modern Bibliotheca Alexandrina, a cultural center built near the site of the ancient world-famous library.

Enjoy lunch at a local restaurant before exploring the Roman Amphitheatre, the unique Pompey's Pillar, and the magnificent Citadel of Qaitbay (external visit), overlooking the sea.

Return to Cairo for overnight.

Day 11: Old Cairo Tour

Today, dive deep into Egypt’s diverse religious heritage. After breakfast, visit the historic Mosque of Ahmed Ibn Tulun, one of Cairo’s oldest surviving Islamic monuments, followed by the majestic Mosque of Sultan Hassan and the neighboring El-Refa’i Mosque.

After lunch, continue to Coptic Cairo, beginning with the Hanging Church, followed by the Church of St. Sergius (Abu Serga), believed to be a resting place of the Holy Family. End your tour at the Ben Ezra Synagogue, the oldest in Egypt.

Return to your hotel for overnight.

Day 12: Departure from Cairo
