Day 1: Cairo – Pyramids, Museum & Bazaar

Upon arrival at Cairo International Airport, a Journey to Egypt representative will meet and assist you. You’ll be transferred by private air-conditioned vehicle to your hotel to drop off your luggage before beginning your Cairo adventure.

Your first stop is the Giza Plateau, home to the legendary Great Pyramids of Cheops, Chephren, and Mykerinos. Walk in awe around the Valley Temple, where ancient priests conducted sacred rituals, and admire the Sphinx, the mysterious guardian of the pyramids with a lion’s body and a pharaoh’s head.

Enjoy a relaxing lunch at a local restaurant, taking in spectacular views of the pyramids or the Nile.

Next, explore the Grand Egyptian Museum, a modern architectural marvel located near the pyramids. This world-class museum houses over 100,000 artifacts spanning 5,000 years of Egyptian history, including the complete treasures of Tutankhamun, displayed together for the first time. Walk among colossal statues, interactive exhibits, and digital galleries that bring ancient Egypt to life.

End your day at Khan El Khalili Bazaar, Cairo’s vibrant historic market. Browse shops brimming with handcrafted souvenirs, silver jewelry, perfumes, leather goods, and antiques. After soaking in the bustling atmosphere, you’ll be transferred back to your hotel for a restful night.

Day 2: Luxor – West and East Bank Tour & Return to Cairo

After breakfast at your hotel, check out and transfer to Cairo Domestic Airport for your flight to Luxor.

On arrival in Luxor, meet your representative and tour guide to begin an unforgettable day of sightseeing. Start on the West Bank of Luxor, home to the ancient necropolis of Thebes. Visit the Valley of the Kings, where pharaohs of the New Kingdom were laid to rest in elaborately decorated tombs. Explore the Temple of Queen Hatshepsut at Deir el Bahari, a stunning funerary temple built into the cliffs, and stop at the Colossi of Memnon, two enormous statues of Pharaoh Amenhotep III standing tall against the Nile.

Lunch will be served at a local restaurant between visits.

Cross to the East Bank to visit the Luxor Temple, a spectacular monument to the divine and royal power of ancient Egypt. Then continue to the Karnak Temple complex, one of the largest religious sites in the world. Walk along the Avenue of the Sphinxes, admire the towering Hypostyle Hall, see the Obelisks of Hatshepsut and Thutmose III, and explore the temples dedicated to Amun, adorned with intricate lotus and papyrus carvings and the Sacred Lake.

After your exploration, transfer to Luxor Airport for your flight back to Cairo. Upon arrival, you’ll be met by our local representative and assisted while you await your international departure.
