Day 1: Arrive in Cairo
From the moment you arrive at Cairo International Airport, Egypt begins to reveal its charm. You will be welcomed by Journey To Egypt representative who will assist with all airport formalities and transfer you to your hotel. Take the rest of the day to settle in and let the excitement of the adventure ahead slowly unfold.
Day 2: Cairo City Tour
After breakfast, your Egyptologist guide will lead you into the heart of Cairo’s history. Begin at the Grand Egyptian Museum, a breathtaking modern masterpiece near the Pyramids, where over 100,000 artifacts spanning five millennia await. Stand in awe before the treasures of King Tutankhamun, from his golden mask to his royal jewelry, all displayed together for the first time since discovery.
After lunch at a local restaurant, continue to Old Cairo, exploring the Citadel of Salah El-Din, a fortress that once protected the city and served as a center of power for over 700 years. The day concludes at the vibrant Khan El Khalili Bazaar, a tapestry of colors, scents, and sounds, where you can immerse yourself in the lively atmosphere of one of the Middle East’s most historic marketplaces. Return to your hotel to rest and reflect on a day steeped in history.
Day 3: Pyramids of Giza, Saqqara, and Memphis
The day begins with the Pyramids of Giza, where the grandeur of Khufu, Khafre, and Menkaure inspires awe, and the Sphinx stands guard, timeless and enigmatic. After lunch at a local restaurant, journey to Saqqara, home of the Step Pyramid of King Djoser, an architectural marvel that marked the beginning of pyramid construction. Finally, visit Memphis, the ancient capital, wandering through its Open-Air Museum and marveling at monuments of Ramses II. Return to Cairo for overnight.
Day 4: Flight to Luxor – Embark Nile Cruise – Karnak & Luxor Temples
After breakfast, transfer to Cairo Airport for your flight to Luxor, where a private A/C van will take you to your Nile cruise. Embark before noon and begin your journey along the Nile.
In the afternoon, discover the grandeur of the East Bank of Luxor, starting with the Karnak Temple Complex, whose monumental columns and sacred halls tell stories of devotion to Amun Ra spanning centuries. Continue to the Luxor Temple, located in the heart of ancient Thebes, a testament to the power and vision of pharaohs from the 12th Dynasty to Ramses II. Day 5: Luxor West Bank – Valley of the Kings, Hatshepsut, and Colossi of Memnon
Set out to the West Bank of Luxor, the sacred burial ground of Egypt’s rulers. Wander through the Valley of the Kings, exploring tombs of legendary pharaohs, then marvel at the Temple of Queen Hatshepsut at Deir El Bahari, carved elegantly into the cliffside. Pause at the Colossi of Memnon, two giant statues guarding the site of Amenhotep III’s mortuary temple. Return to your cruise for lunch and enjoy the peaceful Nile scenery as you sail toward Edfu, before dinner and overnight onboard.
Day 6: Edfu – Kom Ombo – Sail to Aswan
Breakfast on board marks the start of another magical day along the timeless Nile. Your journey begins with a visit to the Temple of Horus in Edfu, one of the most magnificent and well-preserved temples in Egypt, where towering walls and intricate carvings reveal the beliefs and rituals of a civilization that thrived thousands of years ago.
After exploring this remarkable site, return to the cruise for lunch on board while the ship sails toward Kom Ombo, drifting past the lush riverbanks that have nourished life along the Nile for millennia. In the afternoon, disembark to explore the Temple of Kom Ombo, a rare double temple dedicated to the gods Sobek and Haroeris. Its symmetrical design, detailed reliefs, and ancient inscriptions offer a fascinating glimpse into worship, daily life, and medicine in Pharaonic Egypt.
Following the visit, return to the cruise and relax on the sun deck, taking in the serene landscapes of the Nile as the ship continues its journey to Aswan. Dinner is served on board, and late in the evening, the cruise arrives in Aswan for an overnight stay.
Day 7: Abu Simbel Temples
Experience the breathtaking Abu Simbel Temples, carved into the cliffs by Ramses II. Day 8: Aswan – High Dam, Philae, Unfinished Obelisk – Flight to Cairo

Day 9: Alexandria Day Tour – Return to Cairo

After lunch, explore Coptic Cairo, including the Hanging Church, Church of St. Sergius (Abu Serga), and the Ben Ezra Synagogue, each reflecting centuries of faith, culture, and devotion. Return to your hotel for overnight.
Day 11: Cairo Free Day
After breakfast, enjoy a full day at leisure in Cairo to explore the city at your own pace or simply relax before your final day.
Day 12: Departure from Cairo
After breakfast, check out and transfer to Cairo International Airport for your flight home, carrying unforgettable memories of Egypt’s wonders, from the timeless Nile to the bustling streets of Cairo and the Mediterranean charm of Alexandria.
