Day 2: Friday – Discover the West Bank and Set Sail to Edfu

The day starts early with breakfast on board at 6:30 AM, followed by an exciting visit to Luxor’s famous West Bank. You will explore the Valley of the Kings and Queens, the ancient burial grounds of Egypt’s most powerful pharaohs, and the stunning Temple of Queen Hatshepsut (El-Deir El-Bahari), set against dramatic cliffs. After this immersive tour, you will return to the ship for lunch as it begins to sail towards Edfu, passing through the historic Esna Lock. After breakfast at 6:30 AM, your exploration of Aswan begins with a visit to the High Dam, one of Egypt’s greatest modern engineering achievements. You will then visit the magnificent Philae Temple, dedicated to the goddess Isis, located on an island and only accessible by boat. The morning continues with a stop at the Unfinished Obelisk, the largest known obelisk in ancient Egypt, providing insight into the stonework techniques of the past. After this enriching morning, you will return to the ship for lunch. The afternoon offers a tranquil felucca ride around Kitchener Island, known for its lush botanical gardens. The day concludes with dinner on board, followed by an enchanting belly dance performance, providing a perfect end to your evening in Aswan.

Day 5: Monday – Farewell in Aswan

Your day begins with breakfast at 6:00 AM. You will then set out to explore Luxor’s West Bank at 7:00 AM, home to some of the most impressive ancient sites in Egypt. Visit the legendary Valley of the Kings and Queens, the final resting place of Egypt’s mighty pharaohs, including the tomb of Tutankhamun (optional entry).
