Embarkation: Luxor to Aswan

Day 1: Thursday – Welcome to Luxor

Your adventure begins with a warm welcome as you embark on the luxurious Mövenpick MS Sunray in Luxor. After check-in at 12:00 PM, settle into your elegant cabin and get ready to explore the majestic wonders of Egypt’s ancient world. After enjoying lunch on board, your first excursion will take you to the East Bank of Luxor. Here, you will visit two of Egypt's most impressive temple complexes: the grand Karnak Temple, the largest religious building ever constructed, and Luxor Temple, dedicated to the rejuvenation of kingship, beautifully illuminated in the evening. After an afternoon filled with awe-inspiring sights, you’ll return to the ship for a delightful dinner and spend the night on board, docked in Luxor.

Day 2: Friday – Discover the West Bank and Set Sail to Edfu

The day starts early with breakfast on board at 6:30 AM, followed by an exciting visit to Luxor’s famous West Bank. You will explore the Valley of the Kings and Queens, the ancient burial grounds of Egypt’s most powerful pharaohs, and the stunning Temple of Queen Hatshepsut (El-Deir El-Bahari), set against dramatic cliffs. After exploring this ancient marvel, you will return to the ship as it sails towards Kom Ombo. Lunch will be served on board, and in the afternoon, you will visit the unique Kom Ombo Temple, dedicated to both the crocodile god Sobek and the falcon god Horus. After taking in the fascinating sights of Kom Ombo, the ship will continue its journey to Aswan. In the evening, enjoy a festive Egyptian-themed Gallabia Night, where you can don traditional attire, enjoy music and dance, and mingle with fellow travelers. Day 4: Sunday – Explore the Treasures of Aswan

After breakfast at 6:30 AM, your exploration of Aswan begins with a visit to the High Dam, one of Egypt’s greatest modern engineering achievements. You will then visit the magnificent Philae Temple, dedicated to the goddess Isis, located on an island and only accessible by boat. The morning continues with a stop at the Unfinished Obelisk, the largest known obelisk in ancient Egypt, providing insight into the stonework techniques of the past. After this enriching morning, you will return to the ship for lunch. The afternoon offers a tranquil felucca ride around Kitchener Island, known for its lush botanical gardens. The day concludes with dinner on board, followed by an enchanting belly dance performance, providing a perfect end to your evening in Aswan.

Day 5: Monday – Farewell in Aswan

Your final day begins with breakfast on board before checking out at 8:00 AM. While your cruise journey comes to an end, you will depart Aswan with lasting memories of Egypt’s magnificent history and the unforgettable experiences you enjoyed along the Nile.
