Your adventure begins with an early morning pickup directly from your hotel lobby or cruise ship in Luxor in a comfortable, private air-conditioned vehicle. You will transfer straight to the West Bank launch site, where you'll join a shared basket for an unforgettable hot air balloon flight, spending approximately 45 minutes floating gracefully above the desert plains, green fields, and timeless villages as they glow in the morning sun. After a smooth landing near the historic Colossi of Memnon, you will leave the shared flight group behind to meet your private guide. - Extra fees to be paid on site: Entry to three royal tombs is fully included with your standard Valley of the Kings ticket. Please note that the interior tombs of King Tutankhamun and Ramses VI require separate entry tickets, which can be purchased at the main gate using a credit or debit card only.
- Know in advance: Please note that while the ground tour, transfers, guide, and felucca ride are completely private for your group, the hot air balloon flight itself takes place in a shared basket with other travelers.
- To book, select the option that corresponds exactly to your specific group size (from Option 1 for a solo traveler up to Option 6 for groups of 6 to 15 participants). Pricing is charged per person and includes your private vehicle and private Egyptologist guide.
- The hot air balloon flight is entirely subject to favorable weather and wind conditions. In the rare event that weather prevents the balloon from operating, you will receive a partial refund for that component of the tour. If wind conditions prevent the felucca from sailing, it will be replaced with a traditional motorboat.
- Flight duration is normally around 45 minutes, but can vary between 40 and 90 minutes based on air temperature and air currents.
- Please provide a reliable mobile number at checkout so the local operator can send you your final exact pickup time 24 hours before the experience begins.
- The minimum age for children on this flight is 6 years, and they must be accompanied by an adult.
- Remember to bring: A digital or physical copy of your passport (required during the confirmation process).
- A sun hat, sunglasses, sunscreen, your camera, comfortable casual clothing, sturdy walking shoes, and small bottles of water.
