Upon landing, your private, expert Egyptologist guide will be waiting for you right outside the arrival exit door, holding a sign with your name. Your exploration kicks off as you cross the Nile River to Luxor's legendary West Bank, home to the richest and most celebrated ancient burial grounds on earth: the Valley of the Kings. Here, you will step inside magnificent royal tombs carved directly into the desert rock, where vivid paintings and hieroglyphs still preserve their ancient splendor. You will even stand in the very valley where King Tutankhamun’s treasure-filled tomb was famously discovered in November 1922.
Next, you will proceed to Deir El-Bahari to marvel at the mortuary Temple of Queen Hatshepsut. Built around 1500 BC, this architectural masterpiece features dramatic terraced colonnades that blend seamlessly into the towering limestone cliffs behind it.
