Start with the spectacular Grand Egyptian Museum, located near the Giza Pyramids. This world-class museum is the largest archaeological museum on Earth, showcasing over 100,000 artifacts that span more than 5,000 years of history. Begin with the Mosque of Ahmed Ibn Tulun, the oldest intact and still-functioning Islamic monument in Cairo. Its vast open courtyard and elegant minaret reflect the classical architectural style of the 9th century.

Continue to the impressive Mosque of Sultan Hassan, a masterpiece of medieval architecture built in 1256 AD as both a mosque and a religious school. Nearby stands the El Refa’i Mosque, connected by a pedestrian street and notable for its grand design and historical importance.
