Your unforgettable journey begins upon arrival in Cairo, where you’ll have the opportunity to rest after your flight. Once refreshed, your adventure will start with a visit to the iconic Pyramids of Giza and the majestic Sphinx, followed by a tour of the Egyptian Museum, home to Egypt's priceless treasures, including the famous artifacts of King Tutankhamun.

Next, embark on a three-night Nile River cruise from Aswan to Luxor, where you'll explore historic sites such as the temples of Philae, Kom Ombo, and Edfu, and the magnificent Valley of the Kings. After the cruise, return to Cairo and enjoy a day trip to Alexandria, where you'll discover the Catacombs of Kom El Shoqafa, the Citadel of Qaitbay, and the renowned Bibliotheca Alexandrina.

Itinerary

Day 1: Thursday 3 April 2025 - Arrive Cairo, 01:15 AM & Visit the Pyramids of Giza and the Egyptian Museum


Welcome to Egypt! Upon your arrival at Cairo International Airport [Before the immigration counters, holding a sign with your name], you will be met by a Journey To Egypt representative. Then you will be transferred to your hotel in Cairo by private air-conditioned vehicle to freshen up.

Later in the day, our tour guide will pick you up for your Cairo day tour. Begin by visiting the Pyramids of Giza and the Great Sphinx, including the Great Pyramid of Cheops, built of an estimated 2.5 million blocks and rising to 137m. Move to the Panorama area for fabulous photos of the three pyramids. Next, visit the Sphinx and the Valley Temple. Enjoy lunch at a local restaurant in Cairo before continuing your tour at the Egyptian Museum, one of the most famous museums in the world.

Day 2: Friday 4 April 2025 - Fly Cairo to Aswan - Embark Nile Cruise


Upon your arrival at Aswan Airport, you will be met by a Journey To Egypt tour guide [At EXIT DOOR, holding a sign with your name]. Enjoy visiting the world-famous High Dam and the awesome Philae Temple, which is devoted to the two goddesses Isis and Hathor. Then transfer to embark your 5-star Nile River Cruise before lunch.

Day 3: Saturday 5 April 2025 - Optional Abu Simbel Journey ($110 Per Person) - Cruising the Nile


Discover Abu Simbel, the commanding twin temples of Ramses II and his wife, Queen Nefertari. The former's façade is dominated by four 70-foot-tall statues of the pharaoh. Perhaps even more impressive, this entire site was disassembled and moved here to save it from the floodwaters caused by the Aswan High Dam. Cruise to Kom Ombo. Disembark at Kom Ombo (Hill of Gold) to visit the Greco-Roman temple dedicated to Haroeris (the sun god) and Sobek (the crocodile god), whom some ancient Egyptians considered the creator of the world. View the mummified remains of crocodiles that once basked along the ancient Nile shore. Back on board, cruise to Edfu.

Day 4: Sunday 6 April 2025 - Temple of Horus - Cruising the Nile


Today, view the Temple of Horus, falcon-headed god of the sky. Built in 230 BC by Ptolemy III, this amazingly well-preserved and colorful structure reveals what temple worship in ancient Egypt was like. Back on board, cruise to Luxor. Arrive in Luxor and journey to the east bank of the Nile to visit the Temple of Karnak, where generations of pharaohs wished to record their names. Walk through the Great Hypostyle Hall, strolling among its expertly aligned columns, which soar to 80 feet high. Continue to the striking Temple of Luxor, where you'll view the three large statues of Ramses II and the Colonnade of Amenhotep III, with its 50-foot-high columns.

Day 5: Monday 7 April 2025 - Disembarkation - West Bank Tours - Fly Back to Cairo


This morning, explore the west bank of the Nile River and the Necropolis of Thebes, and view the Colossi of Memnon. Next, arrive at the architecturally stunning Temple of Hatshepsut, ancient Egypt's first female pharaoh and regarded today as one of its most successful. Continue to the Valley of the Kings, burial ground of the pharaohs and a UNESCO World Heritage Site. For a period of 500 years, tombs were built along this valley for pharaohs and nobles, including that of the boy king, Tutankhamun. Enter the tomb of Tutankhamun (extra ticket) to discover the secrets of this storied chamber. Transfer to Luxor Airport for your flight to Cairo. Upon arrival, you'll be transferred to your hotel in Cairo.

Day 6: Tuesday 8 April 2025 - Alexandria Day Trip

Our tour guide will pick you up from your hotel in Cairo and transfer to enjoy an amazing day tour to Alexandria. First visit the Catacombs of Kom al Shuqafa, the most important hypogeum in Alexandria. The Kom al Shuqafa catacombs date from the 2nd century AD, and their decoration is a result of the fusion of Hellenistic and pharaonic elements so typical of Alexandrian art and culture. Then visit Alexandria Library. Have your lunch at a local restaurant in Alexandria before moving to see Qaitbay Fort, the fort of Sultan Qaitbay is one of the symbols of Alexandria. It was built on the ancient island of Pharos, over the ruins of the world-famous lighthouse. Later you will be driven back to your hotel in Cairo.
